Get to Know Me

Hi, my name is Mia! I am a sophomore in high school - I love playing volleyball, exploring restaurant spots, and playing with my dog, Chloe. As with many people in our generation, I have had first hand experience with the dangers of social media and how it can impact our lives in negative ways.

While navigating social media safely can be hard, it can be done. Most adults will tell kids and teens “delete that app” or “don’t do this”, but instead of saying “don’t” we should be saying “do this instead”. Kids and teens are unlikely to delete social media because of one or a few incidents that happen and this can put them at a high risk of exposure to harmful content or behaviors.

I want to help educate people on how to navigate social media safely so that the apps do not have to be deleted. This website offers educational and support resources that are easily accessible, youth-led, and realistic for current generations.
